Book design for photographer Ben Elwes

The work references the prestige car market and marketing campaign material; the objective being to achieve images that emulate the style of car advertising photography — with the extensive collision damage of the vehicles directly contradicting the notion of this format of advertising.

The body of work was photographed from 2011–15. Contrary to the polished aesthetic, the vehicles were located in car salvage yards throughout the UK and shot on-site, often in adverse weather conditions using a portable studio.
